DESCRIPTION
Teaching artist Glo Lamson invites you to an open studio for creating art to help remind you of your personal intentions. Inspired by Nancy Levin's book The Art of Change, this is an afternoon to make some kind of visual marker about what is important to you. Reading The Art of Change is not required; this is open to everyone! If you have read Levin's book, however, you might spend this time working with what emerged from your work with it.

We'll provide collage materials, while you're welcome to bring whatever mediums you
prefer working with, such as sculpture, carving, photographic, painting, etc. Before this studio time, you may want to start collecting images from magazines, photographs, copies and any materials you might want to use in the studio.

You don’t have to know what you want your creative project to look like beforehand! Come play around with found images or other materials, exploring and interweaving your imagination, experiences, thoughts, visions and/or intentions. Create a visual
reminder of what is important to you, for your journal, wall, desk, closet — wherever.

No art experience is necessary. We all are creative, and we all use those juices in different ways at different times. There is no right way to do this and no wrong way to do it — only your way — which is the best! Come see what shows up for you, and share in the good vibes of this creative time and community.

Notes: Please register here so we have a sense of how many people are coming and how much collage material to provide. Contact Judith Alexander at lightenup@olympus.net for information about her 2026 small Art of Change groups.

ABOUT GLO
Glo Lamson is a local artist who has worked in various mediums for more than 50 years. She holds a master of fine art degree in Arts and Consciousness, and appreciates being able to support people who are interested in hands-on creative work that combines with personal reflection, growth and healing. Glo often considers her life as her medium, with art making and photography as a way of working with it. Creative work offers her a way to connect, explore, deepen and reflect on the interplay between the world within her and the world around her. Glo draws inspiration from diverse sources such as prehistoric mark-making, alchemical processes and contemporary art, as well as spiritual and healing practices. She believes everyone is inherently creative, and that conscious creative work can help us cultivate greater presence, peace, and well-being — personally and collectively.
